An established UK engineering and fabrication business is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to develop and grow its presence within the UK water industry.

This is a senior, strategic role focused on building long‑term relationships with water companies and contractor partners, navigating framework‑led routes to market, and securing sustainable, specification‑driven work in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading business development activities within the UK water sector.
• Identifying and engaging with water companies and associated contractors.
• Building and maintaining senior commercial, technical and procurement relationships.
• Navigating framework agreements and approved supplier routes.
• Work closely with engineering and operational teams to assess feasibility and value.
• Represent the business professionally across meetings, sites and industry events

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Proven business development experience in regulated or framework‑driven markets.
• Strong understanding of specification‑led, contractor‑based sales processes.
• An ability to manage long sales cycles and complex stakeholder environments.
• A strong commercial acumen.
